Birchmount Green is a 15-storey, mixed-use affordable housing development located at 1236 Birchmount Road in Scarborough, Ontario. The project was led by Birchmount Green Inc. in partnership with Mahogany Management and supported by the City of Toronto’s Open Door program and the federal government. Construction was substantially completed on December 11, 2023, with residents beginning to move in shortly thereafter.
The development comprises 220 rental units, including 122 units with rents at or below the average market rent (AMR), 98 supportive housing units, and 10 units at AMR. These units are designed to accommodate a diverse range of tenants, including individuals with disabilities, seniors, families, and those transitioning from homelessness or fleeing violence. 
The building features a variety of amenities aimed at fostering community and inclusivity. These include 45 accessible homes, a large amenity room with access to outdoor greenery and barbecues, an accessible rooftop garden, a library, indoor and outdoor children’s play areas, bicycle storage, and offices for support service organizations.
