Located in the heart of Mississauga’s growing southwest corridor, the new Residence Inn by Marriott brings a bold, contemporary presence to the area’s hotel landscape. The six-storey structure is composed of durable cast-in-place concrete, offering both long-term resilience and design flexibility. Large windows line the façade, creating a strong rhythm across the building’s mass while maximizing natural light within. The exterior envelope features a modern stucco and EIFS cladding system, installed over a high-efficiency building envelope to meet stringent energy standards. The minimalist massing is softened with subtle geometric shifts and articulated bays, while a warm palette of grey, blue, and white grounds the building in the surrounding suburban context. Interior framing makes use of cold-formed steel construction, allowing for quick and accurate layout of the all-suite hotel’s generously sized guest rooms and amenities. Amenity spaces such as the indoor pool and communal lounge areas have been strategically located at grade to activate the street and offer guests a sense of connection to the neighbourhood. This project showcases a seamless blend of hospitality-driven design with durable construction practices, ensuring the Residence Inn becomes a long-term fixture of Mississauga’s evolving hospitality landscape.
