Holiday Inn Express

Location:
Project Type:

St. Thomas
Hospitality

The new Holiday Inn Express in St. Thomas presents a crisp, contemporary identity that aligns with the brand’s growing emphasis on modern convenience and visual clarity. Designed with sharp geometries, clean lines, and a neutral palette accented by bold structural framing, the architecture conveys both function and confidence. Large-format windows wrap the ground floor, offering transparency and visual connectivity with the streetscape, while sleek black frames and soffits add depth and rhythm to the building’s composition.

The exterior facade incorporates smooth cladding panels and carefully modulated vertical and horizontal bands, punctuated by dramatic overhangs that provide a sense of shelter and arrival. Construction photos reveal a focus on high-efficiency envelope detailing, visible in the layered sheathing and vapor barriers. Inside, exposed ceilings and carefully organized mechanical systems speak to a clear-eyed, utilitarian aesthetic, while the generous use of glazing ensures ample daylight throughout common areas.

Overall, the design embodies a refined simplicity, aiming to offer travelers a streamlined yet comfortable experience while contributing a fresh architectural statement to the local urban fabric.
